Creating Transfer Order Line Items

  1. On the Transfer Order Line Items form, select Actions > New.
  2. Select the transfer order to which you want to add line items. This information is displayed for the order:
    • The site to which and from which items are being transferred.
    • The warehouse to which and from items are being transferred.
    • The status of the transfer line:
      • Ordered: The transfer line item is entered, but no shipping transactions have been made.
      • Transit: A shipping transaction has been made for the line item.
      • Complete: All transactions for this line item are complete. You can change the status to Complete once the quantity received plus the quantity lost equals the quantity shipped. It is not possible to complete a line item until all quantities are accounted for.
  3. Specify this information:
    Line
    Specify a unique line number or accept the default, which is incremented by 1 from the last line item entered for this transfer.
    Item
    Select a valid inventory item.
    Quantity
    Specify the item quantity to be transferred.
  4. The price code, status, unit price, unit cost, and extended price are displayed for the item.
  5. Specify this information on the Detail tab:
    Scheduled Ship Date
    The scheduled date of shipment is displayed. This date is calculated by the system and is based on the Dock-to-Stock time entered on the Planning tab on the Items form.
    Scheduled Receipt Date
    Select the date that the inventory is scheduled to be received.
    Transit Location
    Select the location where the inventory is stored while in transit, or accept the default of Transit.
    From Ref Type
    Select the source of the order being shipped. The default is Inventory. (If this is a multi-site transfer order, you can update this field only at the From site.)
    To Ref Type
    The destination for the order being received is displayed. The default is Inventory. (If this is a multi-site transfer order, you can update this field only at the To site.)
  6. This information is displayed on the Detail tab:
    • The date of the last shipment and last receiving transaction.
    • The date the last pick list was printed.
    • The total quantity shipped, received, and lost in transit.
  7. The Costs tab lists these unit costs of the transfer order:
    • Material
    • Freight
    • Duty
    • Brokerage
    • Total

    The Overridden check box is selected if the allocated landed costs have been updated.

  8. If the transfer order is occurring in the European Union, specify this information on the EC VAT tab:
    NOTC
    Select the nature of transaction code. These codes are used in the European Community to identify the characteristics of various transactions used in the system.
    Delivery Terms
    Select a code for the terms of delivery.
    (Delivery Terms Description)
    A description of the delivery terms code is displayed.
    Process Indicator
    Specify the code for the process indicator. Specify an I in this field if you are:
    • Sending processed goods to another EC country
    • Sending goods to be processed in another EC country
    If the goods are being sent for repair in another EC country, leave this field blank.
    EC Code
    Select the EC code to use for shipping.
    Origin
    Select the code for the country of origin.
    Commodity
    Select the code to use for this particular commodity.
    Supplementary Units Conversion Factor
    Specify the multiplication factor to use when converting from the standard unit of measure to the supplementary unit of measure for this commodity.
    SSD Value
    Specify the Supplementary Statistical Declaration (SSD) value, which is used in some European Community (EC) reports. The SSD Value is the export value from the transaction, if it is specified. The export value is always specified in the domestic currency, regardless of the currency of the transaction.
    Unit Weight
    The unit weight is displayed for the item.
  9. Save the record.
