Maintaining Kit Components

  1. On the Kit Components form, select Actions > New.
  2. Select the kit item for which you want to create a new record. A description of the kit item is displayed.
  3. Specify this information on the Components tab:
    Sequence
    The system assigns the next sequential number for the new component.
    Kit Component Item
    Select the item that you want to add to the kit record. A description of the item is displayed.
    Quantity
    Select the amount of the item to add to the kit.
    U/M
    The unit of measure is displayed for the item.
  4. On the Kit Assembly SROs tab, click Create Kit Assembly SRO to open the Kit Create Assembly SRO modal form and populate the SRO grid.
  5. Use the Transactions button to open the SRO Transactions form, filtered for the planned material transactions of the service order selected in the grid.
  6. Use the Kit Components Availability button to open the Kit Components Availability form, filtered for the currently selected record.
  7. The grids on the Cost/Price tab show the cost/price and margin of each component and the summarized cost/price and margin for the kit. These values come from either the Kit Assembly SRO Planned Material transaction (if one exists) or the item master cost/prices from the kit components.
  8. Save the record.
