Tracking the Availability of Kit Components

  1. Open the Kit Components Availability form.
  2. Filter for the kit item for which you want to view availability.
  3. This information is displayed in the header section:
    • Warehouse location of the item
    • Description of the item
    • Source of the item (purchased or transferred)
    • Fixed lead time for the item
    • Quantity on hand of the item
  4. This information is displayed on the Component tab:
  • The sequence number for the current component
  • Kit component item number and description
  • Lead time required for the component
  • Quantity on hand of the component
  • Unit of measure for the component
  • Preferred vendor for the component
  • Lead time required by the vendor
  • Total amount required
  • Amount on hand
  • Amount on order
  • Amount allocated for an order
  • Amount reserved
  • Amount available
  • Amount ordered
  • The grid on the Cost/Price tab shows the cost/price and margin of each component and the summarized cost/price and margin for the kit. These values come from either the Kit Assembly SRO Planned Material transaction, if one exists,  or the item master cost/ prices from the kit components.
