Running the Item by Location Report

  1. Open the Item by Location Report.
  2. Specify this information:
    ABC Code
    Select the ABC codes to include on the report. Use the ABC code to rank items according to annual domestic currency usage. Items with high unit cost and low annual usage could be classified the same as items with low unit cost and high annual usage. A typical breakdown of the categories might reflect that 20% of the items would fall into the A classification (highest annual domestic currency usage), 30% into B, and 50% into C (lowest annual domestic currency usage).

    Select the check box for each item source you want to include in the report:
    • Purchased
    • Transferred
    Stocked
    Select Yes to show stocked items on the report, No to show non-stocked items, or Both to show both stocked and non-stocked items.
    Sort By
    Select the method by which to sort the report:
    • Item: Sort locations within items. All items which have a stockroom location display in item order. If an item has more than one stock location, additional lines print, one for each additional location. The primary sort key is Item, and the secondary is Location.
    • Location: Sort items within locations. For each location, shows the available items. The primary sort key is Location, and the secondary is Item.
    • Worksheet by Location: Same as the Location option, except a form feed is issued after each location.
    Material Type
    Select the check box for each material type whose items you want to include in the report:
    • Materials
    • Tools
    • Fixtures
    • Other
    Print Zero Quantity On-Hand Items
    Select this check box to include on-hand items with quantities of zero on the report.
    Print Serials
    Select this check box to include serial numbers on the report.
    Display Report Header
    Select this check box to print report headers on the output.
  3. For these fields, select the range of values to include in the report:
    • Warehouse
    • Item
    • Product Code
    • Location
  4. Click Preview to view the output before running the report.
  5. Click Print to run the report and print the output.
