Converting Inventory into a Fixed Asset

  1. On the Units form, click Convert to Asset to open the Fixed Asset Convert from Inventory modal form, filtered for the current unit.
  2. Specify this information:
    Asset Number
    Specify a number to use to identify the asset.
    Description
    Specify a description for the asset.
    Class Code
    Select a class code from the Fixed Assets Class Codes form.
    Class Code Description
    A description of the class code is displayed.
    Department
    Select the department that the asset belongs to.
    Department Description
    A description of the department is displayed.
  3. Click OK to save the record or click Cancel to discard it.
