Creating Units of Measure

  1. On the Unit of Measure Codes form, verify that the unit of measure you want to create is not already in the system by scrolling through the list.
  2. Select Actions > New.
  3. Specify this information:
    U/M
    Specify a code for the new unit of measure, with a maximum of three characters.
    Description
    Specify a description of the unit of measure.
    ISO U/M
    Specify the International Standard Organization's definition of the U/M code.
    ISO U/M Description
    Specify the International Standard Organization's definition of the U/M description.
  4. Save the record.
