Viewing Journal Account Summaries

Open the Journal Account Summary form.

Select the journal ID for which you want to view an account summary.

A description of the journal entry is displayed.

This information is displayed in the grid:

Account: The account numbers associated with the selected journal are displayed.
Debit: For each account, the debit amount is displayed.
Credit: For each account, the amount of credit is displayed.
Net: For each account, the net amount is displayed.

This information is displayed for the journal:

Balance: The debit or credit amount is displayed, depending on which is greater. These fields show how far out of balance the journal is.
Totals: The totals of all the debits and credits in the journal are displayed.
Reversing Balance: These fields show how far out of balance the journal is for reversing entries. An amount is displayed only in the debit column or the credit column, depending on which amount is greater.
Reversing Totals: The totals of all the debits and credits of reversing entries in the journal, not just the page, are displayed.
