Setting Tag and Sheet Controls
- Open the Set Tag Sheet Controls form.

Specify this information:
- Warehouse
- Select the warehouse in which you are setting controls.
- Count Method
- Select the count method to use for this physical inventory:
- Tags
- Sheets
- Both
- Begin Tag #
- Specify the number to print on the first tag. If no tags are used, specify 1.
- End Tag #
- Specify the last tag number to print. If no tags are used, specify 1.
- Last Tag Used
- The last tag number printed is displayed. It is automatically updated each time tags print.
- Tag/Sheet Increment
- Specify the increment number to use when incrementing the tag/sheet numbers. For example, if the tags/sheets are to be numbered 5, 10, 15, 20, and so forth, specify 5 in this field. If the tags/sheets are to be numbered consecutively, specify 1 in this field.
- Begin Sheet #
- Specify the number to print on the first sheet. If no sheets are used, specify 1.
- End Sheet #
- Specify the last sheet number to print. If no sheets are used, specify 1.
- Last Sheet Used
- The last sheet number printed is displayed. It is automatically updated each time sheets print.
- Material Types to Count
- Select the types of material to be counted during the
physical inventory:
- Material
- Tool
- Fixture
- Other
- Counter Number
- Select Validate to ensure that the employee number entered is valid, if you are using employee numbers when entering tag/sheet counts. Select Update to instruct the system not to validate employee numbers against the Employees form. Select Skip if you are not using employee numbers when entering tag/sheet counts.
- Checker Number
- Select Validate to require an entry of a valid employee number when entering tag/sheet counts. Select Update to require entry of an employee number that is not validated. Select Skip to not enter an employee number.
- Save the record.
Note: Both tags and sheets can be
used for a physical inventory, but you can only use a tag or a sheet for each
individual stock location. You can not have a tag and a sheet for the same stock
location, but you can have a tag for one stock location and a sheet for the next.
