Changing and monitoring data flows
Service Management connects to Infor Data Lake through a data flow that uses the Data Connector connection point to send data from the Service Management database tables to the Data Lake.
Birst extracts this data from the Data Lake using the ISM Infor Data Lake shared connection to Birst Connect 2.0. Birst Workflows can be used to schedule the initial and incremental data loads from Data Lake to update the data models in the prebuilt Service Management Analytics content. Workflows can be scheduled to be run at a particular date and time, or run manually.
These prebuilt workflows can be used to schedule your extractions for the Service Management Analytics content:
- ISM Analytics Initial or Full Load: Use this workflow for the initial data load. First, it sets the default extract date for the initial load for all tables. Then, it extracts and processes all data.
- ISM Analytics Daily Extract and Process: Use this workflow to extract and process all sources on daily basis.
The ISM workflows are included in the Service Management Analytics content provisioned for your tenant by Infor cloud operations.
See the Service Management Configuration Guide for instructions for running the initial data extraction and scheduling the daily incremental data extraction.
