Managing portal sessions

In the Portal Manager, you can review and end portal sessions on the Sessions form. When you manually end a portal user’s session, then for the next request to the portal, a new session is created and all session states for this user are lost.

The session information represents the portal configuration at the time the session was started. This allows filtering on previous instances of a portal. For example, you can filter on all sessions that have a portal with a specific active originator.

You can filter on environment, server, IPF instance, IPF user ID, portal, and portal specific attributes. You can sort the form columns by clicking in the column header. This session information is displayed:
  • Session Start Time: The date and time this portal session was started.
  • Last Request Time: The last request received from the user for this portal session.
  • User: The account from the authenticator data source assigned to this portal, for this portal session.
  • Environment: The environment in which this session exists.
  • Server: The server in which this session exists.
  • IPF Instance: The IPF instance in which this session exists.
