Analyzing portal user accounts with the utility

Any time after portal-enabled user accounts have been set up in the back office, you can analyze them with the portal User Account Management Utility page.

The User Account Management Utility is displayed to only users set up as portal data administrators. You must ensure that the utility is used by only one session at a time.

Log in to the portal using the portal data administrator account. In the User Account Analysis and Copy section, perform one of these tasks:

  • To analyze all user accounts, leave the User ID field blank and click Analyze.
  • To analyze a specific user account, specify the user ID and then click Analyze.

These color-coded results are displayed:

  • Red means the issue must be fixed before the user can access the portal.
  • Yellow means the issue does not prevent the user from accessing the portal, but it may cause undesirable results.
  • Green means the account is set up properly and is ready for accessing the portal.
Note: After you analyze accounts, the results are stored and shown in the grid every time you log in to the utility. To purge old records, you must run the analyze process again.
