Developer mode

Developer mode gives you access to tools for modifying Infor portal pages. Only users with Is Administrator permissions in the Portal Manager for the selected portal can use developer mode. The administrator user also must have a user account set up in the back office for each applicable portal and user type.

To enter developer mode, log in to the portal with your portal administrator user account credentials and click the maintenance (wrench) icon in the upper left corner. In developer mode, a ribbon is displayed at the top of the page with buttons for accessing the Page Editor, Field Display Format Editor, Layout Editor, and Portal Manager.

Note: On a mobile device, you must tap the menu icon to access the maintenance icon for some pages.

The ribbon also has an inspection area, which contains information about the current page, grid, and cell. Options are provided for rendering the current grid as an email message and for launching the appropriate editor for viewing or editing a selected component. Click the inspection icon in the top left corner of the inspection area to enter inspection mode.

To exit developer mode or inspection mode, click the maintenance or inspection icon again.
