Creating an FDF-based page using the Page Editor

The Page Editor provides a graphical view of the page you create and allows you to preview the page.

  1. In the Portal Manager, select Content Development > Pages.
  2. Click Open Editor. The Page Editor is displayed in a browser window.
  3. Specify this information:
    Master FDF
    Specify a master FDF for the page. For example, if this is to be a responsive UI page, you can select MasterPageResponsive. If it is a non-responsive page in a responsive portal, select MasterPageResponsiveException. If it is a non-responsive page in a non-responsive portal, select MasterPage.     Attributes
    Specify the page title and any page-level styles to use.

    To see available style names and detail, go to Content Development > Style Families. Also see Style availability summary.

    Use the Smart Navigation setting to follow or override the portal default setting for smart navigation. Smart navigation.

    Original FDFs
    Optionally, you can specify overrides for component FDF bindings by changing the entries shown under Original FDFs. Your overrides are then shown under Overridden FDFs. For example, with the MasterPage FDF, you could override the body component by selecting the MainGrid FDF. You can clear overrides using the buttons next to the overridden FDFs.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Name the page. Include the folder path.
  6. Click OK.
  7. To see your new page listed in the Portal Manager, select Content Development > Pages and click Refresh.
