Adding a farm to IPF
Steps are provided in the portal installation guide.
Updating a farm
You can change the description and the default IPF instance name.
You can change the load balancer only when there are no servers in the farm.
Deleting a farm from IPF
You can delete the farm only when no servers are in the farm.
Poking the farm job processor
This wakes up the farm job processor on all machines in the farm. It is used when there are pending farm jobs. In most cases, IPF wakes up the job processors as needed, but occasionally conditions exist for which you must poke the job processor manually.
