Farm administration tasks

Farm administration tasks can be performed occasionally or on a regular basis in the Farm Manager. In this documentation, tasks may be marked as:

• Hot safe: The operation does not affect existing portal user sessions; however, new sessions are affected. If you bring down the portal, new sessions cannot be started.
• Not hot safe: Changes from the operation take effect immediately and they do affect existing portal user sessions.
• Neither: The operation does not affect running users. For example, when you delete a farm that has no servers, this does not affect portal users.
