Using Parts Fulfillment

This is the process flow when you use Parts Fulfillment:

  1. Enter a planned material transaction on the Service Order Transactions form.

    Follow the steps in Adding Service Order Transactions.

  2. Cross reference the transaction to a purchase order. Note that the Awaiting Parts check box is selected.

    If the Awaiting Parts Actions are specified in the Service Parameters form, note how this affects the Priority, Status, and To Be Scheduled fields.

  3. In the scheduling board, any task associated with an incident or SRO awaiting parts displays a red hand icon.
  4. Receive the purchase order associated with the transaction. Notice that the Awaiting Parts field is cleared.

    If the Parts Received Actions are specified in the Service Parameters form, notice how this affects the Priority, Status, and To Be Scheduled fields.

  5. The Red Hand icon is no longer associated with tasks linked to the incident or SRO.
