Forms database

A database that stores specifications for forms and form components, including validation procedures, scripts, variables, and other objects. Windows client retrieves and interprets the specifications at run time to create a form. The default forms database includes definitions of administrative forms, such as the Users form.

If you are customizing a Windows client application, we recommend that you maintain a development forms database that is accessed by developers using Design mode. This development database stores product changes until they are tested and ready to be copied to the deployed forms database, which is accessed by end users.
