Formatting numbers in components

Default formats for numbers are based on the regional settings in the Windows Control Panel. In the Windows client, if the Language field in the User Preferences window is set to <User Default Language Setting>, then the default format for numbers follow the regional settings in the Windows Control Panel. In the web client, the default format for numbers is based on the Language settings of the browser.

You can override the default or regional settings by selecting a language in the User Preferences window. In the web client, you can change the Language settings of your browser. After you set the language, numbers are formatted according to the standard notation for your chosen language.

You can open the User Settings in Infor OS Portal or Infor Ming.leTM and update the Localization settings to override the language settings in Mongoose.

In Windows client, you can specify whether decimal values are rounded and truncated. For example, if you specify two decimal places in the Decimal Point Position component property, you can set the Round component property to produce these results:

1.000 displays as 1.00 1.000 displays as 1.00
1.056 displays as 1.06 1.056 displays as 1.05
