Creating a "Non-Data" from with Responsive Form Builder

The Responsive Form Builder is a set of wizards that you can use to create simple forms in Runtime Mode, without having to use the Web Designer (in the web client) or go into Design Mode (in the Windows client). "Non-Data" forms are one such type of form.

Although Responsive Form Builder provides a number of templates and layouts from which to choose, a "Non-Data" form creates only the framework for a form. Beyond that, the form is totally blank, and you must essentially design and build the form from "scratch".
  1. To open the Runtime Builder Selection form, click the Runtime Builder icon on the toolbar.
  2. From the Category drop-down list, select FormBuilder.
  3. From the Runtime Builder drop-down list, select ResponsiveForm.
  4. Click OK.
  5. On the Form Properties page of the Responsive Form Builder wizard, provide this information:
Enter A Name For This Form
Supply the name of the form to create.

Until you change it, this is the name of the form as it displays in the title bar of the widget form.

Select an IDO to use with this form
    Leave this field blank.

"Non-Data" forms are not bound to any data source, so you cannot use an IDO in the wizard.

  6. From the Select A Form Type list, select Non-Data.
  7. Click Next.
At this time, there is only on "Non-Data" form layout available. It is automatically selected.
  8. Click Next.
On the Field Selection page of the wizard, since there is no associated IDO, no properties are available.
  9. Click Next.
  10. On the last page of the wizard, review the summary and then click Finish.
