Event Action Send Email

Note: You can access this form only from the Event Actions form.

Use this form to generate an email message to one or more recipients when the application event action executes. This is similar to a Notify action, but this action sends an email, using the email client software resident on the Application Server, whereas the Notify action sends a message using the application's internal messaging capabilities.

Note: The Send Email action type can only be used on systems where there is an SMTP server defined for the system on the Intranets form. If no SMTP server is configured, this action does nothing.
