Find Replication Setup Issue

To use this form, specify an object name, object type, and to site. Then click the List Issues button. This form lists error messages indicating why replication does not occur from the current site to a remote site for a given object.

The form checks for these issues:

Note:  Transactional checks are made only if transactional replication is currently enabled.
  • Parameters site or input To site do not exist in site table
  • No category has that object in it
  • No rule to that site for any category with that object in it is set
  • The replication trigger for that object (if it's a table) does not exist
  • The replication triggers are disabled
  • Transactional - linked server name is not set for target site
  • Transactional - database not set for target site
  • Transactional - other server has no link to it
  • Transactional - servers not defined in both directions
  • Transactional - target site or source site is on external intranet
  • Non-transactional - problem caused by missing URL.
    Note:  URL is only required if the target site is on a different intranet
  • Non-transactional - intranet name not set on source or target site
  • Non-transactional - no user has been setup between the sites
  • Non-transactional - the user set for non-transactional replication lacks permissions
  • Non-transactional - the user set for non-transactional replication lacks the automation license. This is not considered in a usage-tracking licensing environment.
