Configuring the help URL for cloud access

Note: This topic applies only to help being installed and used locally in an on-premises environment. It does not apply to Multi-Tenant Cloud (MTC) customers. The settings described in this topic are usually configured at installation and should not be changed. You should change these settings only if you are redirecting your help access from the Infor Documentation Central website to a local or on-premises setup, or vice versa.

In cases where the online help for Mongoose has been configured for local access, you might come to a point where you prefer to access the help from docs.infor.com.

Note: In new installations, docs.infor.com is the default setting for online help. This topic applies only to situations where you are not accessing the help from the this website but you want to.
  1. Launch the Configuration Manager.
  2. From the Applications tab, select the application for which you want to set the base help URL.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. In the Edit Application dialog box, select the Options tab.
  5. In the Help Server URL field, specify the base help URL, using this format:

    https://docs.infor.com/mg/version/

    where:

    • The first part is the base URL: https://docs.infor.com.
    • mg is the product code.
    • version is the version of Mongoose for which the help is generated, for example, 2022.xx.
Note: To always access the latest version of the help, specify latest as the version.
    • The trailing forward slash (/) is required.
  6. In the Help Start Page field, verify that the value is: default.html
  7. In the Subfolder field, verify that it is set to: mongooseolh
  8. If you are using a help language other than U.S. English, launch the Language IDs form and verify that the Override Middle Help URL setting is correct for your language.
Note: Currently, the Mongoose help is available only in U.S. English.
  9. Click OK, and close the Configuration Manager.
