Setting Up Price Formulas

  1. On the Price Formulas form, select Actions > New.
  2. Specify this information:
    Price Formula
    Specify a code to use to identify the price formula.
    Currency
    Select the currency to associate with the price formula.
    Effective Date
    The current date is displayed. Optionally, select a different date.
    Base
    Select the unit base price:
    • Unit Price 1 through Unit Price 6
    • Cost
    • None
    Price is based from the actual item price. Cost is based from the unit cost. This field is used in the calculations of the break quantity unit price.
    Amount/Percent
    Select Amount if the value amount is a domestic currency amount, or select Percent if the value is a percent amount.
    Value
    Specify the amount or percent to use in calculating the unit price. The value amount can be positive or negative.
  3. Optionally, specify this additional information:
    Break Quantity
    Specify a minimum quantity required for the associated price break.
    Base
    Select the unit base price code for each break price:
    • Unit Price 1 through Unit Price 6
    • Cost
    • None
    Amount/Percent
    Select Amount if the value amount is a domestic currency amount, or select Percent if the value is a percent amount.
    Value
    Specify the amount or percent to use in calculating the unit price. The value amount can be positive or negative.
  4. Save the record.

Use the buttons on the form as described here:

  • Click Price Codes to open the Price Codes form.
  • Click Price Matrix to open the Price Matrix form.
  • Click Pricing to open the Pricing form.
