Logging Vendor Communications

  1. Turn off Filter-in-Place and select Actions > New.
  2. Select the vendor number.

    The name of the vendor is displayed.

  3. Specify this information:
    Contact Date
    The current date is displayed. Optionally, select a different date as the date of contact.
    Follow-Up Date
    Select the date and time that the contact person was last contacted.
    Status
    Active is displayed for new entries. Select Complete for a completed log.
    Topic
    Specify a topic title or summary to describe what the logged issue is about.
    Contact
    The contact specified on the Customer or Vendor Maintenance form is displayed.
    Entry Name
    The current user name is displayed.
    Phone and Fax
    The phone and fax numbers of the contact are displayed.
    Other
    Specify any miscellaneous information for the entry.
    Notes
    Specify any additional notes.
  4. Save the log record.
