Adding a Discount

  1. On the Discounts form, select Actions > New.
  2. Specify this information:
    Customer Type
    Select the customer type. These codes are set up on the Customer Types form.
    (Customer Type Description)
    A description of the customer type is displayed.
    Product Code
    Select the product code, which identifies the group of items for which you want to add a discount.
    (Product Code Description)
    A description of the product code is displayed.
    Discount Percent
    Specify the discount percentage that customers of this particular type, buying products from this particular group, will receive.
    Description
    Specify a description of the discount, up to one line.
    Contract Discount
    Specify a percentage discount to use as the default on a contract line.
  3. Save the record.
