Custom subject area security

Each Custom Subject Area contains only the corresponding dimensions and measures of a specific domain. A conformed dimension has the same set of attributes available across the different subject areas. These attributes are a subset of those in the Default Subject Area. The measures, on the other hand are grouped by business area per domain.

These custom subject areas are delivered content and should not be modified. Since these are delivered content, CSAs may be overwritten during updates.

You can define security for each CSA. For more information on setting Custom Subject Area, see the Birst Online Help.

This table lists the CSAs that can be accessed by each role.
