Quick Unit Creation

Service centers that accept parts for repair from multiple manufacturers often face situations where a serialized part needs to be quickly added to the system.

If the unit is not recognized when you specify it on the Incidents form, the Service Order Lines form, or the Service Contract Lines form, you are warned that the unit does not exist and asked if a unit should be created.

Respond Yes to open the Units form in Add mode, pre-populating the unit data with the unit, item, description, quantity, unit of measure, customer number, and ship to values.
