Supersede products

We improved the Distribution SX.e integration to support supersede products. With this enhancement, when you select an item on the Service Order Transaction form or SRO Material Entry form, the item is automatically replaced if a superseded product exists for it.

On the Items form, we added a new read-only Supersede Item field to provide visibility into whether a supersede product exists for an item.

Distribution SX.e-style forms in Service Management

New versions of these service forms were created in the style of Distribution SX.e forms:

  • Order Invoicing
  • Order Invoice Listing
  • Order To Be Invoiced Report
  • SRO Material Entry
  • SRO Miscellaneous Entry
  • SRO Labor Entry

These forms use the appearance and flow of screens found in Distribution SX.e. The names of the forms are annotated with a .sxe suffix, for example, Order Invoicing.sxe.

In most cases, you will access these forms in Distribution SX.e, where they are accessible from the previously added Service Management. Accessing the forms in Distribution SX.e provides a more efficient workflow that eliminates toggling between applications.
