Deployment

The Deployment form is used primarily to create deployable zip packages for Mongoose-based applications or applets and then deploy the apps or items on the target systems.

This form has two main options:

  • Export using AccessAs and Object Prefix: When you click this option, these sections are displayed on the Detail view or at the bottom portion of the form:
    • Export Applet: This section is used in the source environment to specify the settings for the app scripts that will be created and packaged for deployment.
    • Deploy Applet: This section is used in the target environment to specify the configuration where you want to deploy the application or to import a zip package for the app.
Note: You cannot import files if you are working in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment.
  • Export using forms, selected items and referenced items: When you click this option, these sections are displayed on the Detail view or at the bottom portion of the form:
    • Available Forms and Selected Forms: These sections are used to search, view, and select the forms and their corresponding referenced global objects to include in the scripts that will be created and packaged for deployment.
    • Output options: These fields and options are used in the target environment to specify the location where you want to deploy or import the zip package of the items.
Note: You cannot import files if you are working in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment.
Note: This form can be used to create and deploy only apps that employ XML scripts. If you want to create and deploy apps that incorporate SQL scripts, you must use the Mongoose Deployment Scripting Utility.
