About the Log Monitor form

The Log Monitor form displays a consolidated view of data logs per tenant configuration.

This form is similar to Log Monitor, a stand-alone utility that is used by Infor to view all activity logged on an application server. However, whereas the Log Monitor utility collects all the specified data for the application server on which it is running, the Log Monitor form collects specified data only for the configuration in which the form is running. This form is intended to be used as a diagnostic tool by developers and administrators in troubleshooting for their specific user configurations.

Note: The Infor Framework Log Monitor Service is required to collect the data that are displayed in the Log Monitor form.

The Log Monitor Service captures specified log data as they occur. That data displays on the Log Monitor form, however, only as you open the form or subsequently click the "Refresh the current collection" icon on the toolbar. The data that displays is cumulative for the current tenant.

You can limit the amount of data that is displayed on the form by filtering by Time/Timestamp, Type, Source, or Message. Use the Log Monitor Policies form to specify exactly what data you want to collect and view. To access the Log Monitor Policies form, click Open Filter Settings with the Log Monitor form in Filter-In-Place mode.

Note: Data logs are dependent on configuration names. Data without associated configuration names are not collected, stored, or displayed in the Log Monitor form.
