DataView Layouts
Use this form to view and set basic information about saved DataView layouts. When viewing layout information, most fields are read-only. Read-only information includes what type of DataView the layout was created for, the name of the DataView, the name of the layout, and scope information.
The exceptions to this read-only rule include these settings:
- The Default check box - Use this option to specify a layout as the default layout for a particular DataView of a particular scope. This is applicable only if multiple layouts with the same scope exist for a given DataView.
- The Caption Override field - Use this
option to override any other caption setting for the DataView display.
This setting overrides any other settings for the DataView caption and affects only the selected layout.
- The Report Orientation field - Use this
option to set the print or export orientation for the layout.
This setting overrides any other settings for report orientation and affects only the selected layout.
You can also use this form to create copies of layouts. When creating a copy of a layout, in addition to the settings described here, you can also set the Layout name, the Scope Type, and—if applicable—the Scope Name.
