About creating and attaching notes

On many forms, you can create notes to be attached to specific records or collections of records. Notes can be used in these ways:

  • Attached specifically to a single record
  • Created as reusable notes that can be attached to multiple records
  • Read or modified from the records they are attached to
  • Created as class notes, system notes, or single user notes

You can also attach to notes links to web-accessible files and web pages, or full paths of external files. Attachments can include any type of file that your work environment supports. For example, you can attach URLs or files that represent text documents, spreadsheets, graphics, and even multimedia files
