Defining the Cycle Count Setup

  1. Open the Cycle Count Setup form.
  2. Use these check boxes to select the cycle types to include in the setup:
    • Day Frequency
    • Zero Quantity
    • Receipt
    • Issue

The cycle type is used to trigger a cycle count.

  3. If you selected the cycle type Day Frequency, specify this information:
    Cycle Frequency
Specify the frequency, in days, with which you want to perform cycle counting.
    Last Count
Select the date on which the last cycle count was performed.
  4. Select the ABC codes to include in the setup.

Use the ABC code to rank items according to annual domestic currency usage. Items with high unit cost and low annual usage could be classified the same as items with low unit cost and high annual usage. A typical breakdown of the categories might reflect that 20% of the items would fall into the A classification (highest annual domestic currency usage), 30% into B, and 50% into C (lowest annual domestic currency usage).

  5. For these fields, select the range of values to include in the setup:
    • Item
    • Product Code
    • Planner Code
    • Warehouse
  6. Click Process.
