Reserving Inventory for a Sales Order

  1. Add a header on the Sales Orders form and save the record.
  2. Add lines for the order and save the records.
  3. Click Reserve.

    You will receive a message indicating that the automatic reservation will be performed.

  4. Click OK.

    You will receive a message indicating that the reservation was successful and displaying the number of lines that were processed. (Only lines containing items marked as Reservable are processed.)

You can also reserve inventory for a sales order using either of these forms:

To verify that your item was actually reserved for the order, open the Reservations for Item form. Select the item you reserved. You will see a reservation record, specifying the order and line number.
