References
References define the relationship between tables and link related data from other tables to a specific table. Relationships between tables show how tables are shown and joined in Infor Risk & Compliance rule builder. The reference identifies a column or a set of columns in one (referencing) table that refers to a set of columns in another (referenced) table. Most of the time references reflect the one to many relationships between parent and child tables, such as a Purchase Order and a Purchase Order Line Item.
When a new table is created, certain Insight-required references are added by default. Other references may be created as required:
- Any table created will have a reference to PERSON TABLE - CREATED BY_PERSON AND LAST_UPDATED BY_PERSON tables.
- When a column is added as a
lookup column, a reference is automatically created to the table LOOKUP_MAP.
This reference will be deleted when you delete the lookup.
Note: The above two references are applicable only to projects created using the previous versions of Studio. If you create a project using Studio 10.0, these references will not appear.
- When _ORG_UNIT tables are created, they contain a reference to the parent table. You need to delete the ORG_UNIT unit table to delete the reference to it.

From the Reference tab you can also create and manage Intellilinks associated with projects. The Intellilinks created will display on Data Browser L2 and Exception Browser L3 page.
