Export a Project

Projects can be shared by exporting them and then importing them into the recipient's Studio.

• If no project is open in Studio, clicking Project > Export displays the Export window where you can see the list of existing projects available for export. Select the project to be exported and click Export . Provide the path to which the project is to be exported and click Save.
  Note: You can export only a single project at a time.
• If a project is already open in Studio and you click Project > Export, the Export window displays only the current project. Provide the path to which the project is to be exported and click Save.

When you export a project, it is saved as an XML file using the format defaultprojectname_monthdate.xml. The saved project contains all project level details. It does not contain details of ERP Types and ERP Connections. Once a project is exported, it can be copied to a version control system such as Source Safe or to another machine. Note that no actual data is saved in the project, only the schema structure.
