Adding panel parameters
This page enables you to introduce custom graphs and panels. Creating a custom graph or panel requires a stored procedure to be available on the Infor Studio database.
To add a custom graph or panel to your dashboard:
- Provide a short description for the graph or panel. This description can be edited while adding or editing this custom graph or panel. The stored procedure name is derived from the panel name specified. The stored procedure is required to provide the logic needed to create the display and to define the drill down criteria for the Exception Browser
- From the drop-down list, select the type of graph you want your data to be displayed in.
-
This Parameter field displays all the parameters that can be
edited in a graph or panel:
- Enable name change: Select this option to edit the name of the graph or panel.
- Enable Description change: Select this option to edit the description of the graph or panel.
- Enable Legend: When you select this option, the Number of Series field is displayed on the screen. From the Number of Series drop-down list, select the number of series that will be included in the graph or panel. If you do not choose this option, Studio assumes that there is a single series to display.
- Enable Drill Down:
When you select this option, Drill Down Destination field is displayed on the
screen. From the Drill Down Destination drop-down list, select either of the
following the options:
- Exception Browser Level 1: Select this option if the new custom graph or panel is based on exception and or remediation results.
- Data Browser:
Select this option for key performance indicators, graphs or panels that do not
include analysis / remediation results.
Note: The options selected in the Drill Down Destination drop-down list should match the content of the stored procedure created. For example, if the stored procedure designed is exception based then the option selected in the Drill Down Destination drop-down list should be the Exception Browser.
- Enable Dual Y-Axis: Select this check box if your custom graph or panel will consist of multiple series of data. When you select this check box, an extra text box to name the second Y axis will be displayed for your custom graph or panel.
- Enable Point Labels:
Select this check box to display the specific values of each data point
directly on your custom graph or panel.
Note: Displaying specific values may not be legible if the data set is too large and too many data point values are displayed.
- Connection Based Filters: Select this option to enable the graph or panel content to be scoped to a single connection. This parameter will be added to the Scope Data tab on the Edit Parameters page. This option can be provided only if a graph or panel supports drill down to the Data Browser, Exception Browser or Violations Browser.
- Analysis Based Filters: Select this option to enable the graph or panel content to be scoped to a collection of rules or rule books. This parameter will be added to the Scope Data tab on the Edit Parameters page. This option is highly recommended for analysis or remediation based graph or panels.
- Date Based Filter: Select this option to enable the graph or panel to be scoped to a specific date range. This parameter will be added to the Scope Data tab on the Edit Parameters page. Selecting this option will enable a start time and end time option. Any trending graphs or panels will find this extremely useful in establishing a date range for display.
- Input Parameters:
There are 5 Input Parameter options on the screen. This means that the custom
stored procedure that you are adding can support up to 5 variables that the
graph or panel will display when added to the dashboard. Specify a friendly
name for each of the parameters through the Input Parameter 1. You can specify
five such Input Parameter prompts. These input parameter prompts will be
displayed when the graph or panel is added to the dashboard tab .
Note: The options Graph Color, Panel Type, X Axis Label, and Y Axis Label are selected by default.
- Click Finish.
