Two stage extraction

Two stage extraction process is applicable only for transaction objects . When you select a child Transaction object, the 2 stage extraction check box is selected, by default. However, you can clear the check box.

For example, for the Payroll Insight for Lawson 10.0, if you select the child object asPRDISTRIB ( Employee Payment Distribution), the 2 stage extraction check box is selected, by default. In this case the parent table will be PAYMASTR(Employee Payment Master). In this case, the object uses the parents object key columns to from an  query for extraction.

Two stage extraction process can be enabled for :

  • Objects without a Date column
  • Objects with the date column but without an index on the column
Note: If older projects are opened with this version of Studio, the classification is automatically done by Studio and the project is upgraded to the current version. If the Copy Source to Destination functionality is used to copy a source table to a destination, users must manually select which category the table belongs to, by opening the table through Destinations and choosing the required category.

Select from several table settings that allow you to specify the attributes for the destination tables.
