Launch the Portable Data Extractor
The
link is displayed on the
menu if the IRC Portable
Data Extractor 10.1 is installed on the same server as the IRC Portable Data
Scheduler. This link allows you to create an offline extraction project using
the IRC Portable Data Extractor. Data extraction can then be scheduled through
the IRC Portable Data Scheduler.
Note: The IRC Portable Data Extractor can be used to create an offline
extraction project to extract data from the supported ERP.
Create an extraction project in the IRC Portable Data Extractor as follows:
- On the menu, click . The IRC Portable Data Extractor launch screen is displayed.
- Specify the required
parameters to create an offline project by providing the project name,
connection details and the path where these details will be stored.
Note: While creating this extraction project, ensure that on the Select the extraction type screen, you select the check box Schedule this Extraction. This allows you to schedule the extraction through the IRC Portable Data Scheduler instead of manually creating a Windows Scheduled Task in the IRC Portable Data Extractor:
The .beu file for this extraction project is saved at the path specified in the Project Path field while creating a IRC Portable Data Extractor project in the IRC Portable Data Scheduler. Once this is done, you can create a schedule in the IRC Portable Data Scheduler to extract data using the IRC Portable Data Extractor.
Data extraction by the IRC Portable Data Extractor will begin only when
this IRC Portable Data Scheduler task is executed. Once the extraction is
complete, the IRC Portable Data Scheduler uploads the output files to the
target IRC application server.
Note: Only . bez files zipped into a .zip file can be uploaded. The
output .beu, .log and .txt files are not uploaded to the IRC server as they are
informational files and do not contain extracted data.
