Extracting data using command prompt for PDE

To extract data using the command prompt for PDE, you must ensure the following:

  • Authorizations Insight for SAP is installed in the PDE utility.
  • A new Autorun folder is created at [PDEInstallPath]\TMonitor\bin\] location.
  • All the .beu file for the existing projects are copied to the Autorun folder.

Perform these steps to extract data using the command prompt.

  1. Navigate to Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt (Run as Administrator).
  2. Specify the entire path of the project folder where the IRC Portable Data Extractor is installed.
  3. Specify one of these commands:
    • IRCPortableDataExtractor.exe autorun "[FolderPath]" "<project1>.BEU" "<project2>.BEU"...
    • IRCPortableDataExtractor.exe -a "[FolderPath]" "<project1>.BEU" "<project2>.BEU"...

    After successful extraction the output folder is created at same location that contains the newly generated BEU file, zipped data file, and the extraction summary file. These files are used to extract data in IRC.
