Resuming from a failed extraction
If your extraction fails, the IRC Portable Data Extractor lets you resume a failed extraction. Extractions could fail for any of the following reasons:
- In case of network failure
-
Running out of drive space on the IRC Portable Data Extractor client machine
If extraction for some objects fails, the list of failed objects is
maintained in the
<ProjectName>.beu
file in the project folder.
These objects are extracted when you resume from a failed extraction.
Resume from a failed extraction as follows:
- On the Select a Project screen, select the option Use an existing project (to select the project that previously failed). A pop up window displays the confirmation message..
- Click Yes to resume the failed extraction. Only those objects for which the extraction had previously failed will be extracted.
- Click No to run a complete extraction and overwrite existing data.
