Extract Without IRC Programs
- Select the option Extract without IRC programs.
- Click Next. The Perform Extraction screen displays a list of extraction tasks.
- Click Start.

Provide a password to encrypt and secure the
.bez
file. - Re-enter the password to confirm it.

Click
OK. The system now encrypts
the data after extracting each object and zips it in a
.bez
file. The next screen of the wizard is displayed. The Table Name column lists the tasks that will be performed during the extraction. -
On the Table Name column,
- Each completed task is marked in green with the check box next to it selected
- Each failed task is marked in red with the check box next to it not selected

After successful extraction the screen displays the
Extracted Completed
status. In cases where the table has no data to extract, the
Extraction Progress screen still shows the
status as
Extracted with a remark.
Click Next. The system displays the summary of the extraction performed.

The
Extraction Summary screen displays a summary of
the extraction, which includes the following:
- Source Information - consists of the application and Insight from which data has been extracted
- Summary of Tasks completed - consists of the list of extracted objects

Select the
Collect Logs checkbox if
you want the IRC Portable Data Extractor to zip the log files and the extracted
data files together and send the
.zip
file to Customer Support in case extraction fails for some objects. Customer Support can then ascertain the root cause for extraction failure and resolve the problem.Note: The Get Object Count feature for extraction without IRCprograms uses the standard SAP RFC 'ATT_GET_TABLE_ENTRIES'. If this RFC is not supported in a SAP version, the 'Get Object Count' feature will not work for this type of extraction.
