Creating connection for FlatFile

The flat file connection is used to upload data from a .CSV into Infor Risk & Compliance. Create a flat file connection as follows:

  1. On the Connections page, click New to display a list of ERP applications. Click FlatFile to display the  FlatFile: New Connection page.
  2. Provide the name of the connection in the Connection Name field. This is the connection to the target server.
  3. Provide a description for the connection.
  4. In the File Path field, provide the file path of the Schema.xml file containing metadata information such as the object name and the corresponding CSV file name.
  5. If accessing a network share, enter the user name to connect to the folder in which the CSV files and Schema.xml are placed. For files placed on the local drive, this is optional.
  6. If accessing a network share, enter the password to connect to the file share. For files placed on the local drive, this is optional.
  7. Select whether data from this connection should be secured.
  8. Select whether users extracted from this connection should be mapped.
  9. Click Save. The new connection will be visible on the Connections page. Once a connection is created, you can schedule an extraction for it.
    Note: When editing a flat file connection created through the Upload Data page, clear the Validate Connection check box before making the changes.
