Lawson - Role Assignment Management

A Lawson - Role Assignment What-if analysis helps you determine the impact of assigning new roles to users or revoking existing roles before making these changes in your Lawson system.

To create a Lawson Role Assignment Management What-if:

1. Provide details on the following panels:
   • General Information: Use this panel to provide the following general information about the What-if:
     • What-if name.
     • Connection.
     • Selecting User ID.
   • Assigning new roles to the user.
   • Already assigned roles.
   • Selecting rule books.
   • More details.
2. Click Analyze. The completed What-if analysis is displayed on the What if Analysis page. Click the What-if link to view details of violations generated and take further action.

If Access Manager for Lawson is installed on your server, you can generate a Role Assignment Management type of request from this What-if analysis:

• If the What-If analysis does not generate violations you can create a request either from the What if Analysis page or from the Violation Details for Infor, Lawson, Oracle, and PeopleSoft Requests page.
• If the What-If analysis generates violations, you can create a request only from the Violation Details for Infor, Lawson, Oracle, and PeopleSoft Requests page.
