Enabling or disabling FIPS at Windows level

This setting is disabled, by default.

To enable or disable FIPS on the Application server:

  1. Execute the 'gpedit.msc' command through the 'Run' window.
  2. Navigate to Local Computer Policy > Windows setting > Security setting > Local Policies > Security options.
  3. Right click on the System Cryptography: Use FIPS Compliant algorithms, hashing and signing policy and select Properties. Select the enabled / disabled option.
  4. Click Apply to save the changes and click OK to close the window.
  5. Restart windows server.
