For Active Directory authentication
For Active Directory authentication, you have three options to import users. The required option can be selected on the Import Settings panel of the System tab on the Configuration page:
- Import from Infor Risk & Compliance: Users are imported from IRC. To do this, the IRC server settings have to be configured on the IRC Server Settings panel of the Configuration page.
-
Import Active Directory users from CSV:
- On the User Management tab, click the Import icon. The Import Users pop-up window is displayed.
- Browse for the
person.csv and manager.csv files that contain the users to be imported.
Person.csv file
Manager.csv file
- Click
Import.
Note: If you import Active Directory users from CSV, no validation is performed to check whether the users are actually present in Active Directory .
- Import All users from Active Directory directly: All Active Directory users are imported.
If Active Directory authentication is used in Certification Manager, you have these option to import users from different domains:
- If you select the option Import All users from AD directly, the names of the imported users displayed on the User Management tab of the Security page are appended by the domain name. For example, if you import User 1 from Domain A, the user name displayed on the User Management tab is Domain A/User 1.
- If you select Import AD users from CSV, you need to append the user names listed in the CSV file with the domain name before uploading the CSV file to the application server.
- If you select Import users from IRC, user names displayed on the User Management tab are same as the names imported from IRC.
Note: If Certification Manager is installed using Active Directory
Authentication and you wish to import users from IRC or from a CSV file, ensure
that the Super User account created while installing Certification Manager is
present is IRC or the CSV file before importing users.
