Outgoing Email Settings

Use this panel to manage outgoing email settings in Certification Manager.

If the SMTP server is configured during installation, this panel displays the following information:

  1. Select the check box Required SSL check box only if the SMTP server is configured as secured.
  2. Provide the name of the SMTP Server and the SMTP Port. Certification Manager uses the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server and the Port to send notification emails. If no information is provided in this field, the application checks if the local SMTP server and the default port is running on the Certification Manager server. If the local SMTP server cannot be found, Certification Manager cannot send email notifications.
  3. The From Address field displays the email ID of the sender of emails from this SMTP server.
  4. In the User Name and Password fields, provide the credentials to authenticate the SMTP server
  5. The Infor Xi Platform URL field displays the URL of the Infor Xi Platform server. For example, https://server:port/tenantID/SiteGUID?LogicalId=lid://infor.certificationmanager.n.

However, if these settings are not configured during installation, these fields are blank. Provide the required details in these fields.

  6. In the Incoming Account field, provide the email address for the account that will receive and process emails sent by users other than Certification Manager users. For example, if a user unsubscribes to an event, the emails sent by this user are processed through this account.
  7. Click Generate One Time Password. The OTP is sent to the email address specified in the From Address field above. OTP is valid for 5 minutes from the generation time.
  8. Enter the OTP and click Verify to verify the email address.
Note: Verification of the email address is required whenever you change the address in the From Address field.
  9. To confirm these configuration settings, provide an email address in the Send To field of the Test Email panel. Click the Test Email icon to send a test mail.
  10. Click Save.
