Import Users
Import options vary depending on the authentication scheme selected while installing Certification Manager: The import options are as follows:
- For Certification Manager authentication. see, For Certification Manager authentication.
- For IRC Application Security authentication. See, For IRC Application Security authentication.
- For Active Directory authentication. See, For Active Directory authentication.
Importing users in Certification Manager creates a task that is displayed on the Tasks page. After the import is complete, the imported users are displayed on the User Management tab.
You can also schedule an import users task from the Schedules page.
Note: When users are imported from IRC, any changes to user attributes
must be made through the
User Management section in IRC.
If such modifications are made, the modified users should be re-imported into
Certification Manager, to reflect the changes.
After the import is complete, the Tasks page displays a message whether import is successful or if any users have been skipped. Users may be skipped if mandatory fields is missed or if any of the roles assigned to these users are incorrect.
Note: If users are imported through a csv file, ensure that
'Everyone' has full permission on the Data folder located at
[Install Path]\Certification Manager\Presentation\Data. In
case of inadequate permissions, the csv file upload may fail.
