General Information

Provide the following general information:

  1. From the Connection drop-down list, select the required ERP or application connection. Alternatively click the Browse icon to browse for the required connection from the Browse Connections pop-up window. The Connections filter in this pop-up window enables you to search for the required connection. Select the required connection and click OK. Data from this connection is imported to Certification Manager. Once you select a connection, it is no longer be available to be selected again while creating a data source.
    Note:  For a data source for Infor, all the connections published by Infor in the IRC Platform database are available for selection. Whereas, for data sources for other standard application schemas, all the connections created in IRC are available. For an Infor data source, if the selected application connection name contains special characters, the data source creation will fail.
  2. Provide a description for the data source.
  3. For an Infor data source, the Language field is displayed. Select the language in which the data is to be imported.
  4. Import expired objects: The options to import expired objects that are displayed on this panel vary depending on the ERP system from which the data source is being created:
  5. In case of an IRC SAP data source, the check-box Import Expired Users is displayed on this panel.
  6. In case of an IRC PeopleSoft HR and IRC PeopleSoft FI data source, the check-box Import Locked Users is displayed.
  7. In case of an IRC Oracle data source, the check boxes Import Expired Users and Import Expired Responsibilities are displayed.

    Select the required check box to import expired objects. This option is not available for other data source types.

    Note:  The option to import expired objects is not available for an Infor connection.
