Procedure for script-based extraction

Codeless extraction is implemented in two steps:

  1. Execute the .cmd script to extract data from the PeopleSoft backend database and output it to a specified output folder. This script can be executed on any machine which has the backend database installed. This script generates an .xml output file that contains information required to import the extracted data into IRC.
    Note: The scripts for extracting data from the Authorizations Insight for PeopleSoft FISCM vary depending on the type of the PeopleSoft backend database. For details, refer to Extracting data.

    If you do not want data from certain tables to be extracted, follow the steps in the section Excluding tables in script-based extraction.

  2. Import the .xml file into IRC by creating an offline connection.
